The latest information on scholarships in Austria can be found on the portal of the Austrian Exchange Service www.grants.at. On the website oead.map you will find all research centres that cooperate with the ÖAD.

If you want to study in Austria, use the practical file of universities and fields of study www.studienwahl.at as well as the information on living and studying in Austria www.studyinaustria.at. The Integration Fund offers a portal for German courses in Austria sprachportal.integrationsfonds.at.

Since January 2022, the Open Educational Resources (OER) platform for German teachers has made digitally available materials for teaching German as a foreign language with reference to Austria free of charge worldwide.

Dance on tour Austria 2024 for dance artist based in Austria and performing in Poland

DANCE ON TOUR is a project by Tanzquartier Wien and in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs. DANCE ON TOUR offers financial support to contemporary dance and performance artists and companies based in Austria who wish to go on tour with their production. Applications will regularly be selected by three independent jury members. Jury members are Angela Glechner, Bettina Hagen and Astrid Peterle.

Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts 2023

Intensive workshops of between one and four weeks, dealing with topical questions of art production and directed by outstanding artists from all over the world – this is what awaits you at the Salzburg International Summer Academy of Fine Arts.

Graz Residency for International Photographers (GRIP) 2024

Application deadline: 14.04.2024
The scholarship is intended as an opportunity for photographers to focus on their artistic work and research in the city of Graz. It would thus be highly appreciated if the selected artist would reside in the city between mid-September and mid-October 2024 and shows an interest in getting to know the city’s vibrant local art scene and in connecting with its protagonists. During the residency period, the international festival steirischer herbst will also be running in Graz and offers an opportunity to engage with its heterogeneous program.

Intercultural Achievement Award 2024

Since 2007, the Task Force “Dialogue of Cultures” of the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs serves as a contact point for and originator of various intercultural and interreligious dialogue activities. The Task Force aims to promote understanding through education and the exchange of information, the rapprochement between different cultures and religions, the strengthening of intercultural and interreligious competences and the inclusion of marginalised groups and religions - nationally as well as internationally.

"Writer of the City of Graz" 2023/2024

The city of Graz awards the "Writer of the City of Graz" scholarship each year. The intention is to promote writers who show innovative ability and examination of current subject matters, quality in aesthetic and linguistic terms, authenticity and artistic independence. The residence in Graz should contribute to cultural exchange and interaction with the local literature scene. The grant includes the provision of an apartment for free in the Cerrini-Schloessl on the Schlossberg, from September 1st of the year awarding until August 31st of the following year, and a monthly allowance of EURO 1.300.
